Guerra imperialista – Voci dall’Iran

Presentiamo una miscellanea di prese di posizione di organizzazioni marxiste rivoluzionarie e organizzazioni sindacali iraniane sull’attuale conflitto in corso. Emerge come i compagni iraniani individuino con chiarezza il carattere capitalista, reazionario e a misura degli interessi borghesi della guerra in corso, sia per l’asse Usa-israeliano, che per la Repubblica islamica. Si tratta di una guerra che va ben oltre l’area mediorientale, per collegarsi allo scontro più generale fra le più grandi potenze imperialiste mondiali, in competizione fra loro. Emerge allora come la guerra sia l’ennesima forca caudina sotto cui devono passare gli interessi proletari e di classe, a maggior ragione in una realtà come quella iraniana dove le lotte sociali, nonostante l’infame repressione, hanno alimentato la spinta alla crisi del regime islamico. Oggi la guerra imperialista e reazionaria costringe come primo impegno a garantirsi la sopravvivenza fisica quotidiana. Si rafforzano il militarismo e la repressione interna, più di quanto abbia già saputo esprimere il regime iraniano. Anche nell’attuale situazione si vede come la guerra imperialista esprima al massimo grado il carattere antiproletario e controrivoluzionario delle politiche della borghesia contro gli interessi proletari. Ma è altrettanto chiaro che la condizione infame della guerra, oltre la sua denuncia, costituisce il terreno materiale con cui l’avanguardia si deve misurare per costruire gli strumenti e la forza politica da mettere in campo, per costruire la possibile e necessaria alternativa agli sbocchi imperialisti, dell’una e dell’altra parte, che da questa guerra scaturiranno. L’unica costante, indipendentemente da come finisca il conflitto, sarebbe solo la continuità nello sfruttamento di classe del proletariato.

DICHIARAZIONE DEL COMITATO CENTRALE DEL PARTITO COMUNISTA d’IRAN : NO ALLA GUERRA REAZIONARIA! ABBASSO LA REPUBBLICA ISLAMICA!

La mattina di sabato 28 febbraio 2026, gli eserciti statunitense e israeliano hanno condotto una vasta operazione coordinata, lanciando attacchi missilistici e raid aerei contro obiettivi in diverse città iraniane. Secondo alcune fonti, in questo primo giorno di guerra, un bombardamento di una scuola elementare femminile nella città di Minab, nella provincia di Hormozgan, nel sud dell’Iran, ha causato almeno 50 morti. Alcune fonti indicano un bilancio totale di oltre 200 vittime e più di 700 feriti. In risposta, la Repubblica Islamica ha preso di mira Israele e diverse basi militari statunitensi nella regione con attacchi missilistici. Questi attacchi militari sono iniziati dopo che gli Stati Uniti hanno spostato le proprie forze e militarizzato completamente la regione, e dopo che un secondo ciclo di colloqui tra le due parti è fallito a causa delle minacce di guerra statunitensi e dell’insistenza della Repubblica Islamica nel proseguire il proprio programma nucleare.

Ciò a cui assistiamo oggi segna un nuovo anello nella catena dei conflitti imperialisti che mirano a ridefinire gli equilibri di potere in Medio Oriente. Gli Stati Uniti si sforzano di rafforzare la propria egemonia e di controllare le risorse energetiche, le rotte strategiche e le sfere di influenza politica, mentre la Repubblica Islamica lotta per sopravvivere e rivendicare un ruolo nella ridefinizione dell’ordine regionale. Ancora una volta, questi sforzi hanno trascinato il Medio Oriente in un confronto militare. L’amministrazione neofascista di Trump ha calpestato le leggi internazionali emerse dagli equilibri di potere successivi alla Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Dopo il genocidio di Gaza, e in collaborazione con il governo israeliano, cerca di perseguire i propri obiettivi imperialisti, soprattutto in rivalità con la Cina, plasmando un ordine regionale che serva i suoi interessi. Considera la Repubblica Islamica la principale roccaforte politica islamista che ostacola i suoi piani. La Repubblica Islamica, nel perseguire la propria strategia di sopravvivenza, ha speso centinaia di miliardi di dollari, provenienti dalla ricchezza della società e dal lavoro e dallo sfruttamento dei lavoratori iraniani, per progetti e programmi nucleari, per armare il cosiddetto asse della resistenza e per costruire un arsenale missilistico. Considera questa guerra, e persino la sua espansione nella regione, come un mezzo per garantire la propria sopravvivenza.

Questa guerra si svolge inoltre in un contesto di crescente crisi interna in Iran. Per anni, la società ha subito la pressione derivante dall’imposizione di politiche capitaliste neoliberiste, dalla compressione salariale, dall’inflazione galoppante e dall’impennata dei prezzi, da un’accentuazione delle divisioni di classe e dalla repressione organizzata dei sindacati indipendenti e degli attivisti di altri movimenti sociali. Queste condizioni hanno reso la società molto più vulnerabile e hanno aumentato la capacità delle potenze imperialiste di sfruttare la situazione.

Questa devastante guerra ha gettato la sua ombra sull’Iran e sulla regione in un momento in cui, negli ultimi otto anni, la società iraniana ha subito la repressione brutale della Repubblica Islamica, insieme a povertà, difficoltà economiche e sanzioni internazionali. Durante questo periodo, la società ha assistito a migliaia di scioperi, quattro rivolte di massa e ondate di proteste popolari, nonché a continui movimenti di protesta da parte dei gruppi sociali più svantaggiati. Nonostante l’orribile uccisione di manifestanti durante la recente rivolta nazionale dell’8 e 9 gennaio, e nonostante la sua campagna di intimidazione, la Repubblica Islamica non è riuscita a incutere timore nella società. Le persone hanno rapidamente superato lo shock e l’incredulità iniziali, trasformando il dolore e la rabbia in solidarietà e protesta contro la struttura politica al potere. Grandi cerimonie funebri e commemorazioni per i caduti, la condanna dei crimini della Repubblica Islamica da parte di ampi settori della società, uno sciopero scolastico nazionale e diffuse proteste studentesche nelle università riflettono il sentimento pubblico prevalente. Durante tutto questo periodo, le politiche interventiste statunitensi non solo non sono riuscite a sostenere il movimento per rovesciare la Repubblica islamica, ma hanno agito contro i suoi interessi.

Nelle attuali condizioni, questa guerra reazionaria non solo non riesce a sostenere i movimenti sociali e di protesta, ma li spinge ai margini. Per quanto “intelligente”, precisa, pianificata o cosiddetta “umanitaria” possa essere una guerra, come ogni altra guerra reazionaria porta con sé uccisioni, distruzione e sfollamento. In queste realtà e in condizioni di guerra, le persone pongono la sicurezza e la sopravvivenza al primo posto, e i movimenti di protesta perdono slancio. Di conseguenza, gli attivisti dei movimenti sociali spostano la loro attenzione e si concentrano sulla riduzione dell’impatto distruttivo della guerra sul lavoro, sulla vita e sulla sicurezza delle persone. In tali circostanze, gli attivisti socialisti, radicali e progressisti del movimento operaio e di altri movimenti sociali, in particolare gli attivisti studenteschi e giovanili nei quartieri urbani, devono respingere con fermezza questa guerra capitalista e reazionaria. Allo stesso tempo, devono rafforzare l’unità e la solidarietà tra le persone e organizzare gruppi di volontari e comitati di aiuto per ridurre i danni che la guerra provoca alla vita e alla sicurezza delle persone.

In tali condizioni, porre fine alla guerra richiede il rovesciamento della Repubblica Islamica, e dobbiamo intensificare la lotta organizzata per abbattere questo regime. Allo stesso tempo, dobbiamo continuamente mettere in guardia la popolazione dal cedere nuovamente alle direttive e agli appelli di Trump, Netanyahu e Reza Pahlavi. Una rivolta per rovesciare la Repubblica Islamica non scoppia spontaneamente; rappresenta il culmine dell’organizzazione all’interno di un movimento di massa nazionale. Solo la volontà unita e determinata di tutti i leader e gli attivisti dei principali movimenti sociali può raggiungere questo obiettivo. Dobbiamo agire senza indugio per organizzare e consolidare questa volontà collettiva.

Il Partito Comunista dell’Iran dichiara che la guerra tra Stati Uniti e Israele e la Repubblica Islamica prosegue le politiche perseguite finora e, da entrambe le parti, si configura come una guerra reazionaria e capitalista. Questa guerra non mira a liberare il popolo, bensì a promuovere gli interessi geopolitici ed economici delle grandi potenze. Respingiamo qualsiasi tentativo di legittimare l’intervento straniero in nome del “sostegno al popolo”. L’esperienza storica dimostra che gli attacchi missilistici e i bombardamenti imperialisti non portano la liberazione alle masse. Negli ultimi anni, gli attacchi militari contro Afghanistan, Iraq, Siria e Libia hanno chiaramente dimostrato che gli interventi delle grandi potenze non hanno portato altro che infrastrutture distrutte, povertà sempre più grave, instabilità cronica e forze reazionarie più forti. Allo stesso tempo, non dobbiamo permettere alla criminale Repubblica Islamica, che si schiera da una parte in questa guerra reazionaria, di usare il pretesto della difesa del Paese dall’aggressione straniera per militarizzare la società e reprimere i movimenti sociali e di protesta.

Pur condannando questa guerra reazionaria, il Partito Comunista dell’Iran invita tutti i lavoratori, i braccianti e gli amanti della libertà dell’Iran ad ampliare e intensificare la lotta per il rovesciamento rivoluzionario della Repubblica Islamica. Esortiamo gli attivisti e i leader del movimento operaio e di altri movimenti sociali progressisti a rafforzare gli sforzi per organizzare e costruire una leadership coordinata a livello nazionale. Solo accelerando e intensificando la lotta per preparare le condizioni al rovesciamento rivoluzionario della Repubblica Islamica potremo liberare il popolo iraniano e la regione da questo regime criminale, neutralizzare i tentativi delle forze di opposizione borghesi e di destra di imporre un’alternativa dall’alto e sopra le teste del popolo, e presentare un orizzonte chiaro ai lavoratori e agli oppressi del Medio Oriente contro l’ordine regionale imperialista e reazionario degli Stati Uniti e di Israele.

DICHIARAZIONE DEL PARTITO COMUNISTA OPERAIO DELL’ IRAN – HEKMATISTA

Questa guerra non è la via per la libertà. E’ la via per la distruzione. Fermare la guerra, immediatamente!

Come prevedibile, l’attacco militare su larga scala degli eserciti di Israele e Stati Uniti contro il regime islamico iraniano è iniziato oggi, sabato 28 febbraio. Secondo i resoconti pubblicati, la portata di questi attacchi è stata ampia, prendendo di mira tutto, dalla residenza di Khamenei e dal quartier generale degli alti funzionari del regime alle basi militari, missilistiche e nucleari della Repubblica Islamica, nonché parti di luoghi di lavoro e aree residenziali in diverse città iraniane.
Per rappresaglia, la Repubblica Islamica ha lanciato attacchi missilistici a lungo raggio contro obiettivi in Israele, diversi paesi arabi e basi militari statunitensi nella regione.
Questa guerra è iniziata dopo la sospensione dei negoziati e l’annuncio di Trump di essere insoddisfatto per i risultati dei colloqui. I primi resoconti indicano che diversi civili sono stati uccisi negli attacchi, tra cui decine di bambini a Minab. Allo stesso tempo, ci sono
segnalazioni di danni ai centri militari e dell’uccisione di diversi comandanti delle Guardie Rivoluzionarie e dell’esercito criminale del regime, sebbene le dimensioni precise rimangano poco chiare.
Indipendentemente dagli obiettivi dichiarati delle parti coinvolte, questa è una guerra reazionaria e terroristica con un carattere profondamente disumano, e deve essere fermata immediatamente.
La propaganda ufficiale statunitense e israeliana cerca di dipingere questa aggressione come un’azione “umanitaria”. Questa affermazione non è solo vuota, è un cosciente capovolgimento della realtà. Questa guerra non è per la liberazione del popolo iraniano, ma viene condotta nel quadro di potenze reazionarie rivali nella regione e come parte di progetti geopolitici per rimodellare il Medio Oriente in linea con gli obiettivi reazionari dei governi di Israele e Stati Uniti, in contrapposizione con i loro rivali globali. In questo scenario, il popolo iraniano e i popoli della regione non sono il soggetto della liberazione, bensì le prime vittime.

Il campo dei guerrafondai e dei mercanti di distruzione

Accanto alla macchina da guerra dei governi statunitense e israeliano, segmenti dell’opposizione di destra e nazionalista, dai monarchici alle correnti etnico-nazionaliste, si sono uniti alle fila dei sostenitori della guerra. Da Trump e Netanyahu, che presentano sfacciatamente il linguaggio delle minacce e delle bombe come “liberazione del popolo”, a Reza Pahlavi e alle forze monarchiche che cercano la loro ascesa al potere all’ombra dei missili, così come alle correnti etnico-nazionaliste che sperano di assicurarsi la loro parte di futuro in mezzo alla febbre della guerra, tutti hanno una cosa in comune: la completa indifferenza verso la vita reale e le lotte del popolo. Sono tutti contrari al popolo e alla sua libertà ed emancipazione.
Queste forze tentano di confezionare la guerra come un’”opportunità di libertà”, ma la realtà è molto più dura: la libertà non arriva a bordo dei bombardieri. Le storie di Iraq, Afghanistan, Libia e Siria ne sono la prova lampante.

Allo stesso tempo, la Repubblica Islamica stessa è l’altra faccia di questo percorso distruttivo. Questo regime ha ripetutamente e spudoratamente dimostrato di dare priorità alla sopravvivenza del suo potere rispetto alla vita di milioni di persone. La logica criminale e disumana che governa questo sistema è stata chiara fin dall’inizio: “Preservare il regime” viene prima di tutto, anche se la società è sepolta sotto la morte e la distruzione, come si è visto quando ha massacrato i manifestanti durante la rivolta di gennaio. I funzionari della Repubblica Islamica hanno dichiarato apertamente che imporre costi umani catastrofici, persino uccisioni di massa, non indebolirà la loro determinazione a mantenere il potere.
Anche oggi, spingere la società sull’orlo di una guerra totale e devastante non è un errore di calcolo, ma una continuazione consapevole di quella politica criminale di sopravvivenza ad ogni costo. Quindi, da un lato di questa equazione si trova la macchina da guerra delle potenze globali e dei loro alleati regionali. Dall’altro, un regime che non esita ad aumentare le tensioni e a militarizzare l’atmosfera per preservare se stesso. La vittima comune di entrambe le parti è il popolo iraniano.

Il popolo: la principale vittima di questa guerra

Sebbene la Repubblica Islamica subirà ingenti perdite militari e di personale a causa di questa guerra, l’esperienza dimostra che il peso principale di tali guerre ricade sul popolo iraniano, in protesta e stremato. Una società che solo di recente ha dovuto affrontare una sanguinosa repressione durante le proteste di gennaio, si trova ora intrappolata nel fuoco incrociato tra due forze terroristiche e antiumane.
Il proseguimento di questa guerra significherà un aumento delle vittime civili, la distruzione di infrastrutture vitali, la paralisi delle reti elettriche, idriche, sanitarie e di trasporto, e la spinta di milioni di persone alla povertà e allo sfollamento. Ciò a cui stiamo assistendo oggi in termini di vittime umane è, tragicamente, solo il preludio alla catastrofe, come se l’oscuro libro mastro della guerra fosse appena stato aperto, con molte pagine ancora da scrivere.
Oltre ai più ampi attacchi ai centri militari della Repubblica Islamica, ciò che viene sempre più preso di mira è il tessuto stesso della vita sociale. Se non fermato, questo percorso porterà a un ciclo di crescenti distruzioni, instabilità cronica e normalizzazione di morte e insicurezza su larga scala, una realtà che porta già chiaramente i segni dei crimini della guerra.
Per noi, per la classe operaia e per il movimento socialista che si batte per la libertà, la continuazione di questa guerra non porta altro che uccisioni, sfollamenti, devastazione e l’arretramento del movimento di protesta popolare. La guerra militarizza lo spazio politico, interrompe la lotta rivoluzionaria delle masse per il rovesciamento del regime, dà alla Repubblica Islamica maggiore spazio per intensificare la repressione, mette i prigionieri politici in maggiore pericolo e spinge la società verso uno scenario oscuro. Questa guerra non è la strada per la libertà, è il soffocamento della società.

Un appello all’azione

Il Partito Comunista Operaio dell’Iran – Hekmatista invita tutti gli amanti della libertà e le persone che cercano l’uguaglianza, i partiti e le organizzazioni progressiste e rivoluzionarie, a protestare contro questa guerra reazionaria.

Questa non è la nostra guerra.
Questa non è la guerra della classe operaia.
Questa non è la guerra delle donne, dei giovani e degli oppressi dell’Iran.
Questa non è una guerra per la libertà o per la liberazione dal regime islamico.

Mentre ci opponiamo fermamente alla propaganda sciovinista e guerrafondaia della Repubblica Islamica sotto la bandiera della “difesa della patria”, chiediamo l’immediata cessazione della guerra
e, allo stesso tempo, l’avanzamento della lotta per il rovesciamento rivoluzionario della Repubblica Islamica da parte della classe operaia e delle persone che cercano la libertà.

Nelle attuali condizioni, con l’espansione della guerra e l’intensificarsi delle pressioni economiche e umanitarie, l’organizzazione sociale immediata è vitale. Le persone devono creare reti e comitati di mutuo soccorso nei quartieri, nei luoghi di lavoro e ovunque possibile per assistere le vittime di guerra, soddisfare i bisogni sociali urgenti, preservare la solidarietà sociale e prevenire il collasso della vita sociale.

Il nostro appello alla classe operaia e ai popoli amanti della libertà del mondo è di scendere in campo contro questa guerra reazionaria, da entrambe le parti, in Medio Oriente e contro i suoi artefici, e di formare un fronte unito in difesa della lotta del popolo iraniano per la libertà, l’uguaglianza e il benessere, e contro il militarismo statunitense e israeliano.

No alla guerra reazionaria.

L’uccisione di Ali Khamenei, insieme a un certo numero di personaggi anziani dell’IRGC e dell’apparato dirigente, è uno sviluppo eccezionale nella traiettoria attuale dell’#Iran. È un colpo decisivo al cuore della macchina repressiva e alla spina dorsale della Repubblica Islamica. Per milioni di persone in Iran, la morte di un uomo che per decenni ha simboleggiato massacro, soppressione, povertà, militarismo e governo attraverso il sangue ha scatenato un momento di liberazione, un mix di rabbia a lungo contenuta e sollievo esplosivo.

𝙌𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙖 𝙣𝙤𝙣 𝙚̀ 𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙞𝙖 𝙞𝙣 𝙜𝙪𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙖. Non è gioia nei bombardamenti o nell’uccisione di bambini. Non è gioia nell’intervento straniero. È il triste sollievo di vedere crepe comparire in un mostro che solo due mesi fa, a Dey, ha immerso il paese di sangue, sparando e schiacciando decine di migliaia e trasformando la società in un oceano di dolore e rabbia. Le persone che respirano oggi sono le stesse persone che ieri sono state picchiate, colpite e gettate nelle carceri. Eppure bisogna affermare chiaramente la realtà: questo colpo ai vertici dello stato è avvenuto all’interno di una guerra lanciata dall’alto e fuori dalla volontà popolare. Una guerra che minaccia vite, trasforma le città in zone di morte e cerca di paralizzare la società attraverso la paura e la rovina.

Gli Stati Uniti e Israele hanno svolto un ruolo diretto attraverso i loro attacchi militari e devono essere condannati incondizionatamente. Nessuna narrazione “salvataggio” e nessuna inquadratura “difensiva” può riciclare l’uccisione di civili. Allo stesso tempo, va detto chiaramente: la Repubblica Islamica e l’IRGC non sono vittime di questa guerra, sono tra i suoi principali architetti. Uno stato che per anni ha usato la società come scudo per i suoi progetti militari e nucleari ora paga il prezzo di quelle politiche attraverso il collasso interno. La morte di Khamenei non significa che la crisi sia finita, ma dimostra inequivocabilmente che questo sistema non può più riprodurre la sua precedente autorità. Una struttura il cui leader è stato rimosso, che ora è in guerra, e che affronta una società satura di rabbia e odio è entrata in una fase di irreversibile instabilità.

È proprio in momenti come questo che si attivano progetti programmati per contenere la società, “transizione controllata”, rimescolamento delle élite, e promozione di alternative dall’alto verso il basso volte a dirottare la rivoluzione e togliere la direzione degli eventi dalle mani della gente. Gli accordi backroom, riprodurre la stessa struttura con un nuovo volto, o imporre governi clienti sotto gli slogan di “stabilità” e “transizione” sono tutti tentativi di neutralizzare lo slancio rivoluzionario e bloccare il potere popolare diretto. Questi scenari non rappresentano la fine della Repubblica Islamica, ma rappresentano la continuazione dello stesso ordine repressivo in una nuova forma.

L’unica forza in grado di bloccare questo risultato è un’organizzazione indipendente, nazionale, dal basso verso l’alto. In un momento come questo, 𝙡𝙖 𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙣 𝙚̀ 𝙨𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚 “𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙯𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙖 𝙜𝙪𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙖”. La vera domanda è se la società può utilizzare consapevolmente l’apertura creata dalla rottura in alto per far avanzare il rovesciamento rivoluzionario. La guerra serve a spaventare la società e sospendere la #rivoluzione; la risposta del popolo deve essere ricostruire e organizzare il proprio potere sociale proprio nel bel mezzo di questa crisi. I lavoratori, i salariati, i giovani, le donne e tutte le forze sociali devono capire una verità fondamentale: nessuna potenza straniera può liberare la libertà. L’unica forza che può far cadere definitivamente questo sistema è una società organizzata. La guerra dei due blocchi capitalistici e la guerra della classe operaia

Ancora una volta, la Guerra Fredda tra i due blocchi capitalistici reazionari si è trasformata in una guerra di bombe e missili. Questa volta, come nella Guerra dei Dodici Giorni, sono state messe in gioco le vite, i corpi e i mezzi di sussistenza dei lavoratori e delle altre classi sfruttate. A prescindere da quanti funzionari del regime capitalistico oligarchico verranno uccisi oltre a Khamenei, da quali scenari l’imperialismo abbia in mente per l’Iran, o da quale combinazione del regime e dell’apparato capitalistico di repressione continuerà a essere coinvolta negli affari del paese dopo il cessate il fuoco, prima ancora che la guerra apparisse nel cielo con missili e bombe, essa si vedeva già sulle tavole vuote dei lavoratori e delle classi sfruttate.

La guerra significa infatti prezzi alti, disoccupazione, insicurezza, distruzione delle infrastrutture e distruzione del futuro delle generazioni. In ogni conflitto militare sono le persone comuni a essere le vittime, mentre i governi e i proprietari del capitale ne traggono beneficio. Ed è proprio per questo che dichiariamo la nostra ferma opposizione alla guerra iniziata tra la “Repubblica Islamica dell’Iran” e il blocco imperialista USA-israeliano. Questa guerra è condotta per interessi reazionari e capitalistici e non ha nulla a che vedere con i lavoratori e i lavoratori sfruttati.

Dichiariamo che nessuna potenza straniera — né l’imperialismo statunitense, né Israele, né alcun’altra potenza — ha altre preoccupazioni se non i propri interessi economici e geopolitici. L’esperienza storica ha dimostrato che l’intervento degli imperialisti non ha portato né libertà né prosperità; ha invece imposto distruzione, instabilità e nuove forme di sfruttamento.

Allo stesso tempo, la nostra opposizione alla guerra e al fronte imperialista non significa sostenere il regime capitalistico oligarchico. La Repubblica Islamica ha dimostrato, nel corso dei suoi decenni di governo, di essere nemica dei lavoratori, delle donne, delle minoranze nazionali, dei giovani e di tutte le masse sfruttate e oppresse. La repressione delle rivendicazioni sindacali, l’imprigionamento degli attivisti del lavoro, la diffusione della povertà e delle disuguaglianze di classe, e la limitazione delle più elementari libertà sociali e politiche costituiscono il chiaro bilancio di questo governo. Questa struttura politica non ha prodotto altro che crisi, corruzione e pressione sulle masse.

Meno di due mesi fa, il mondo intero ha assistito al massacro di massa di decine di migliaia di giovani iraniani nelle strade delle città di tutto l’Iran. Per questo riteniamo che il popolo iraniano non debba scegliere tra la tirannia interna e l’intervento straniero. Entrambe le strade renderanno miserabile la vita delle masse sfruttate.

La vera alternativa è la formazione di un terzo blocco indipendente e progressivo: un fronte che sorga dai consigli operai, dai consigli delle minoranze nazionali, dalle organizzazioni indipendenti delle donne, dagli studenti e da tutti gli strati oppressi. Solo attraverso l’organizzazione cosciente e su scala nazionale delle masse in lotta possiamo opporci contemporaneamente alla belligeranza dei due blocchi: il capitalismo straniero e la repressione interna.

Dal nostro punto di vista, è giunto il momento che gli alleati internazionali dei lavoratori e degli sfruttati accorrano in aiuto dei loro fratelli e sorelle di classe in Iran e chiariscano la propria posizione nella lotta del proletariato iraniano contro tutte le forze controrivoluzionarie interne ed esterne. Il carattere rivoluzionario o controrivoluzionario dei governi non è determinato dalle loro dichiarazioni verbali contro l’imperialismo, ma dalla loro reale funzione nel ciclo delle relazioni capitalistiche globali e dal loro orientamento di classe. La Repubblica Islamica ha dimostrato, nel corso di quasi mezzo secolo di dominio, di aver sempre agito contro gli interessi delle masse popolari e tutte le sue apparenti lotte antimperialiste sono state in realtà un tentativo di ottenere una quota maggiore nelle competizioni e nei conflitti all’interno del campo controrivoluzionario.

Riteniamo che l’emancipazione della classe operaia possa essere realizzata soltanto dalla stessa classe operaia. E solo il proletariato rivoluzionario è il portabandiera dell’emancipazione di tutte le classi sfruttate e oppresse. Una volta che questa guerra tra i due blocchi capitalistici reazionari finirà, la guerra di entrambi contro i lavoratori e gli sfruttati continuerà e si intensificherà. E l’unico modo per conquistare i diritti economici, sociali e politici è concentrarsi sulla formazione e sul coordinamento dei nuclei clandestini della lotta di classe dei lavoratori e degli sfruttati.

In Iran, indipendentemente da quale regime capitalistico prevalga, l’unica via per ottenere i più elementari diritti democratici potrà realizzarsi soltanto dopo la rivoluzione socialista guidata dal proletariato. CONTRO IL PROGETTO DELLA GUERRA PER PROCURA E L’ORGANIZZAZIONE DEI SOLDATI SEMPLICI DELL’IMPERIALISMO!! ( Traduzione non ufficiale dal Parsi) La guerra in corso è entrata in una nuova fase. Lo scenario della guerra lampo su cui Stati Uniti e Israele avevano fatto affidamento non ha prodotto il risultato sperato. In questo contesto, alcune frange dell’opposizione in esilio o gruppi armati etnici entrano in gioco come potenziali strumenti. Sebbene il relativo successo degli Stati Uniti, di Israele e delle potenze regionali nel promuovere la corrente monarchica come alternativa politica abbia giocato un ruolo significativo nel gioco di potere, l’”alternativa Pahlavi”, nonostante la sua utilità in tale gioco, non ha una reale applicabilità nelle attuali condizioni concrete. Per questo motivo, gli Stati Uniti e Israele stanno cercando di assemblare una forza di terra per procura mobilitando partiti etnici e tribali e altre organizzazioni che possiedono la capacità reazionaria e organizzativa per agire come soldati di fanteria e contribuire al trasferimento della crisi regionale nello stesso Iran.
Questo è lo stesso schema che abbiamo già osservato in Iraq, Libia e Siria: quando la guerra diretta non produce una rapida vittoria, il paese bersaglio si trasforma in un campo di battaglia per gruppi rivali per procura, milizie e progetti di destabilizzazione e spartizione. Eppure questo processo non è una semplice tattica militare; fa parte di una crisi più profonda che sta travolgendo l’ordine capitalistico globale. La crisi energetica, la rivalità geopolitica e la crisi storica nella riproduzione del capitale stanno spingendo le grandi potenze verso guerre e conflitti regionali. In tali condizioni, paesi come l’Iran diventano banco di prova per queste rivalità, mentre i loro popoli pagano il prezzo più alto di questa lotta per il potere.
La classe operaia e i lavoratori iraniani non devono cadere in questa trappola. Né il regime islamico – che ha governato la società attraverso la repressione e il dispotismo religioso – rappresenta il popolo, né lo fanno i progetti imperialisti che cercano di plasmare il futuro del paese dall’esterno. Trasformare l’Iran in un campo di battaglia per una guerra per procura significherebbe la distruzione delle infrastrutture sociali, l’aggravarsi della povertà e il trascinare la società nell’abisso della guerra civile.
Per questo motivo, il compito delle forze progressiste e del movimento operaio è chiaro: smascherare il progetto di guerra per procura e resistergli. I lavoratori e i popoli della regione non hanno alcun interesse in questa guerra. Si trovano di fronte a una scelta tra due forme di reazione: la reazione interna e la reazione imperialista.
L’unica vera risposta a questa situazione risiede nell’emergere di un movimento pacifista e internazionalista, un movimento che non serva né gli stati autoritari né le potenze imperialiste. Solo attraverso l’organizzazione indipendente della classe operaia e la solidarietà transnazionale tra i lavoratori e i braccianti della regione si possono contrastare i progetti di guerra, spartizione e destabilizzazione.
La guerra imperialista e la guerra per procura sono due facce della stessa medaglia. Solo una forza che trascenda i confini nazionali e i giochi di potere degli stati può affrontarle: l’internazionalismo proletario e la resistenza pacifista organizzata.

Saluti e auguri a tutti i compagni e lavoratori in tutto l’Iran,

L’America e Israele hanno finalmente iniziato la guerra. È assolutamente chiaro che questa guerra è stata iniziata dai capitalisti e dai politici americani e dalla Repubblica Islamica, ma noi, i lavoratori e la gente che si impegna duramente, ne stiamo pagando il prezzo. Come sempre, siamo noi a essere stretti tra le lame di un paio di forbici. Da una parte, l’America e Israele ci bombardano, dall’altra, i Pasdaran e i Basij ci massacrano sul lavoro e i nostri figli per le strade.

Sarete senza dubbio tutti a conoscenza del fatto che le regioni petrolifere di Jask e Teheran sono state attaccate da aerei americani e israeliani. Due giorni fa, diversi operai del turno di notte in una fabbrica di farina e amido nel parco industriale Soldoz di Hyderabad sono stati uccisi. Fabbriche, depositi di petrolio, centrali elettriche, aeroporti, strade, raffinerie e persino le case della gente comune non sono al sicuro dai bombardamenti di questi maledetti. Se ci guardiamo intorno, vediamo che tutte le infrastrutture vengono distrutte.

Tuttavia, in una situazione in cui i caccia americani e israeliani bombardano le nostre case e le nostre vite da un’altitudine così bassa, queste persone hanno allestito posti di blocco in ogni vicolo e angolo di strada, e hanno puntato le canne delle loro mitragliatrici pesanti contro la gente comune nei vicoli e nei mercati, affinché non faccia nulla.

Questa è la storia delle nostre vite: dobbiamo sopportare la paura dei bombardamenti, rassegnarci alle tavole vuote e agli stomaci affamati delle nostre mogli e dei nostri figli, tremare di paura nelle fabbriche, nelle raffinerie e nei depositi di petrolio, e poi sopportare queste forze armate a ogni incrocio.

Un’altra notizia è che, dopo l’uccisione di Ali Khamenei, il Consiglio dei Guardiani ha nominato suo figlio, Mojtaba Khamenei, come suo successore per continuare la strada tracciata dal padre. Noi lavoratori, in risposta, dichiariamo a gran voce da oggi che non accettiamo questo sconosciuto “leader” per la classe lavoratrice e crediamo che il leader dei lavoratori e delle persone che lavorano sodo debba essere scelto da noi e tra i lavoratori stessi, non dall’alto e attraverso i conflitti interni al governo.

L’esperienza di questi quarantasette anni, e soprattutto di questi dieci o dodici giorni di guerra, ha dimostrato che né il governo interno risponderà alle nostre richieste né un intervento straniero ci porterà alcun sollievo. Finché non avremo una nostra organizzazione indipendente e finché non agiremo in prima persona, anche se questo governo dovesse dimettersi e ne salisse al potere uno nuovo con un nuovo status, per noi non cambierà nulla.

Così come i capitalisti e i datori di lavoro hanno partiti e organizzazioni per proteggere i propri interessi, anche noi dobbiamo avere le nostre cellule clandestine e il nostro partito d’avanguardia. Dobbiamo prepararci in ogni modo a questa situazione caotica.

La nostra roccaforte è la nostra stessa organizzazione. Dobbiamo iniziare a costruire le nostre cellule e formare il nostro centro di comando e leadership!

Le nostre roccaforti sono le nostre fabbriche e i nostri luoghi di lavoro. Il nostro obiettivo è la liberazione dei lavoratori e l’ascesa al potere della classe operaia e di un governo operaio, e questi obiettivi non possono essere raggiunti da soli. Dobbiamo lavorare per raggiungerli, contare su noi stessi e continuare le nostre attività all’interno dei luoghi di lavoro.

Imperialist War – Voices from Iran

We present a miscellany of positions from Iranian revolutionary Marxist organizations and trade union organizations regarding the current ongoing conflict. It emerges clearly how the Iranian comrades identify the capitalist, reactionary character of the ongoing war, tailored to bourgeois interests, both for the US-Israeli axis and for the Islamic Republic. This is a war that goes far beyond the Middle Eastern area, connecting to the more general clash between the world’s greatest imperialist powers in competition with one another. It then emerges how war is yet another “Caudine Forks” through which proletarian and class interests must pass, all the more so in a reality like the Iranian one where social struggles, despite infamous repression, have fueled the drive toward the crisis of the Islamic regime. Today, the imperialist and reactionary war forces the first commitment to be guaranteeing daily physical survival. Militarism and internal repression are strengthened, more than the Iranian regime has already been able to express. Even in the current situation, it is evident how imperialist war expresses to the highest degree the anti-proletarian and counter-revolutionary character of bourgeois policies against proletarian interests. But it is equally clear that the infamous condition of war, beyond its denunciation, constitutes the material ground with which the vanguard must measure itself to build the tools and political force to be deployed, to build the possible and necessary alternative to the imperialist outcomes, on one side and the other, that will arise from this war. The only constant, regardless of how the conflict ends, would only be continuity in the class exploitation of the proletariat.
STATEMENT OF THE CENTRAL COMMITTEE OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF IRAN: NO TO THE REACTIONARY WAR! DOWN WITH THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC!
On the morning of Saturday, February 28, 2026, the US and Israeli armies conducted a vast coordinated operation, launching missile attacks and airstrikes against targets in several Iranian cities. According to some sources, on this first day of war, a bombardment of a girls’ elementary school in the city of Minab, in the Hormozgan province of southern Iran, caused at least 50 deaths. Some sources indicate a total toll of over 200 victims and more than 700 injured. In response, the Islamic Republic targeted Israel and several US military bases in the region with missile attacks. These military attacks began after the United States moved its forces and fully militarized the region, and after a second round of talks between the two sides failed due to US war threats and the Islamic Republic’s insistence on pursuing its nuclear program.
What we witness today marks a new link in the chain of imperialist conflicts that aim to redefine the balance of power in the Middle East. The United States strives to strengthen its hegemony and control energy resources, strategic routes, and spheres of political influence, while the Islamic Republic fights to survive and claim a role in redefining the regional order. Once again, these efforts have dragged the Middle East into a military confrontation. The neo-fascist Trump administration has trampled on the international laws that emerged from the post-World War II balance of power. After the genocide in Gaza, and in collaboration with the Israeli government, it seeks to pursue its imperialist goals, especially in rivalry with China, shaping a regional order that serves its interests. It considers the Islamic Republic the main Islamist political stronghold obstructing its plans. The Islamic Republic, in pursuing its survival strategy, has spent hundreds of billions of dollars—coming from the wealth of society and the labor and exploitation of Iranian workers—on nuclear projects and programs, to arm the so-called axis of resistance, and to build a missile arsenal. It considers this war, and even its expansion in the region, as a means to guarantee its own survival.
This war is also taking place in a context of growing internal crisis in Iran. For years, society has suffered the pressure resulting from the imposition of neoliberal capitalist policies, wage compression, skyrocketing inflation and surging prices, an accentuation of class divisions, and the organized repression of independent unions and activists from other social movements. These conditions have made society much more vulnerable and have increased the capacity of imperialist powers to exploit the situation.
This devastating war has cast its shadow over Iran and the region at a moment when, over the last eight years, Iranian society has suffered the brutal repression of the Islamic Republic, alongside poverty, economic hardship, and international sanctions. During this period, society has witnessed thousands of strikes, four mass uprisings, and waves of popular protests, as well as continuous protest movements by the most disadvantaged social groups. Despite the horrific killing of protesters during the recent national uprising on January 8 and 9, and despite its campaign of intimidation, the Islamic Republic has failed to instill fear in society. People quickly overcame the initial shock and disbelief, transforming pain and anger into solidarity and protest against the ruling political structure. Large funeral ceremonies and commemorations for the fallen, the condemnation of the Islamic Republic’s crimes by broad sectors of society, a national school strike, and widespread student protests in universities reflect the prevailing public sentiment. Throughout this period, US interventionist policies not only failed to support the movement to overthrow the Islamic Republic but acted against its interests.
In current conditions, this reactionary war not only fails to support social and protest movements but pushes them to the margins. No matter how “smart,” precise, planned, or so-called “humanitarian” a war may be, like any other reactionary war, it brings with it killings, destruction, and displacement. In these realities and in conditions of war, people put safety and survival first, and protest movements lose momentum. Consequently, activists of social movements shift their attention and focus on reducing the destructive impact of war on people’s work, lives, and safety. In such circumstances, socialist, radical, and progressive activists of the labor movement and other social movements, particularly student and youth activists in urban neighborhoods, must firmly reject this capitalist and reactionary war. At the same time, they must strengthen unity and solidarity among the people and organize volunteer groups and aid committees to reduce the damage that war causes to people’s lives and safety.
In such conditions, ending the war requires the overthrow of the Islamic Republic, and we must intensify the organized struggle to bring down this regime. At the same time, we must continuously warn the population against yielding again to the directives and appeals of Trump, Netanyahu, and Reza Pahlavi. An uprising to overthrow the Islamic Republic does not break out spontaneously; it represents the culmination of organization within a national mass movement. Only the united and determined will of all leaders and activists of the main social movements can achieve this goal. We must act without delay to organize and consolidate this collective will.
The Communist Party of Iran declares that the war between the United States and Israel and the Islamic Republic continues the policies pursued so far and, on both sides, takes the form of a reactionary and capitalist war. This war does not aim to liberate the people, but rather to promote the geopolitical and economic interests of the great powers. We reject any attempt to legitimize foreign intervention in the name of “supporting the people.” Historical experience shows that imperialist missile attacks and bombings do not bring liberation to the masses. In recent years, military attacks against Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and Libya have clearly demonstrated that the interventions of the great powers brought nothing but destroyed infrastructure, increasingly severe poverty, chronic instability, and stronger reactionary forces. At the same time, we must not allow the criminal Islamic Republic, which stands on one side in this reactionary war, to use the pretext of defending the country from foreign aggression to militarize society and repress social and protest movements.
While condemning this reactionary war, the Communist Party of Iran invites all workers, laborers, and freedom-lovers of Iran to expand and intensify the struggle for the revolutionary overthrow of the Islamic Republic. We urge activists and leaders of the labor movement and other progressive social movements to strengthen efforts to organize and build coordinated leadership at a national level. Only by accelerating and intensifying the struggle to prepare the conditions for the revolutionary overthrow of the Islamic Republic can we liberate the Iranian people and the region from this criminal regime, neutralize the attempts of bourgeois and right-wing opposition forces to impose an alternative from above and over the heads of the people, and present a clear horizon to the workers and the oppressed of the Middle East against the imperialist and reactionary regional order of the United States and Israel.

STATEMENT OF THE WORKER-COMMUNIST PARTY OF IRAN – HEKMATIST
This war is not the way to freedom. It is the way to destruction. Stop the war, immediately!
As expected, the large-scale military attack by the armies of Israel and the United States against the Iranian Islamic regime began today, Saturday, February 28. According to published reports, the scale of these attacks has been extensive, targeting everything from Khamenei’s residence and the headquarters of high-ranking regime officials to the military, missile, and nuclear bases of the Islamic Republic, as well as parts of workplaces and residential areas in several Iranian cities.
In retaliation, the Islamic Republic launched long-range missile attacks against targets in Israel, several Arab countries, and US military bases in the region.
This war began after the suspension of negotiations and Trump’s announcement of being dissatisfied with the results of the talks. Initial reports indicate that several civilians were killed in the attacks, including dozens of children in Minab. At the same time, there are reports of damage to military centers and the killing of several commanders of the Revolutionary Guards and the regime’s criminal army, although precise dimensions remain unclear.
Regardless of the stated objectives of the parties involved, this is a reactionary and terrorist war with a deeply inhuman character, and it must be stopped immediately.
Official US and Israeli propaganda seeks to paint this aggression as a “humanitarian” action. This claim is not only empty, it is a conscious reversal of reality. This war is not for the liberation of the Iranian people, but is conducted within the framework of rival reactionary powers in the region and as part of geopolitical projects to reshape the Middle East in line with the reactionary goals of the governments of Israel and the United States, in opposition to their global rivals. In this scenario, the Iranian people and the peoples of the region are not the subject of liberation, but rather the first victims.
The camp of warmongers and merchants of destruction
Alongside the war machine of the US and Israeli governments, segments of the right-wing and nationalist opposition, from monarchists to ethnic-nationalist currents, have joined the ranks of war supporters. From Trump and Netanyahu, who brazenly present the language of threats and bombs as “liberation of the people,” to Reza Pahlavi and the monarchist forces seeking their rise to power in the shadow of missiles, as well as the ethnic-nationalist currents hoping to secure their share of the future amidst the fever of war—all have one thing in common: complete indifference toward the real life and struggles of the people. They are all against the people and their freedom and emancipation.
These forces attempt to package the war as an “opportunity for freedom,” but the reality is much harsher: freedom does not arrive aboard bombers. The stories of Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and Syria are clear proof of this.
At the same time, the Islamic Republic itself is the other side of this destructive path. This regime has repeatedly and shamelessly demonstrated that it prioritizes the survival of its power over the lives of millions of people. The criminal and inhuman logic governing this system has been clear from the beginning: “Preserving the regime” comes first, even if society is buried under death and destruction, as seen when it massacred protesters during the January uprising. Officials of the Islamic Republic have openly stated that imposing catastrophic human costs, even mass killings, will not weaken their determination to maintain power.
Even today, pushing society to the brink of a total and devastating war is not a miscalculation, but a conscious continuation of that criminal policy of survival at any cost. Thus, on one side of this equation lies the war machine of global powers and their regional allies. On the other, a regime that does not hesitate to increase tensions and militarize the atmosphere to preserve itself. The common victim of both sides is the Iranian people.
The people: the main victim of this war
Although the Islamic Republic will suffer heavy military and personnel losses due to this war, experience shows that the main burden of such wars falls on the protesting and exhausted Iranian people. A society that only recently had to face a bloody repression during the January protests now finds itself caught in the crossfire between two terrorist and anti-human forces.
The continuation of this war will mean an increase in civilian victims, the destruction of vital infrastructure, the paralysis of power, water, health, and transport networks, and the pushing of millions of people into poverty and displacement. What we are witnessing today in terms of human casualties is, tragically, only the prelude to catastrophe, as if the dark ledger of war has just been opened, with many pages still to be written.
In addition to broader attacks on the military centers of the Islamic Republic, what is increasingly targeted is the very fabric of social life. If not stopped, this path will lead to a cycle of escalating destruction, chronic instability, and the normalization of death and insecurity on a large scale—a reality that already clearly bears the marks of war crimes.
For us, for the working class, and for the socialist movement fighting for freedom, the continuation of this war brings nothing but killing, displacement, devastation, and the setback of the popular protest movement. War militarizes the political space, interrupts the revolutionary struggle of the masses for the overthrow of the regime, gives the Islamic Republic more room to intensify repression, puts political prisoners in greater danger, and pushes society toward a dark scenario. This war is not the road to freedom; it is the strangulation of society.
A call to action
The Worker-Communist Party of Iran – Hekmatist invites all freedom-lovers and people seeking equality, progressive and revolutionary parties and organizations, to protest against this reactionary war.

This is not our war.
This is not the war of the working class.
This is not the war of the women, the youth, and the oppressed of Iran.
This is not a war for freedom or for liberation from the Islamic regime.
While we firmly oppose the chauvinistic and warmongering propaganda of the Islamic Republic under the banner of “defending the homeland,” we call for the immediate cessation of the war and, at the same time, the advancement of the struggle for the revolutionary overthrow of the Islamic Republic by the working class and the people seeking freedom.
In current conditions, with the expansion of war and the intensification of economic and humanitarian pressures, immediate social organization is vital. People must create mutual aid networks and committees in neighborhoods, workplaces, and everywhere possible to assist war victims, meet urgent social needs, preserve social solidarity, and prevent the collapse of social life.
Our appeal to the working class and the freedom-loving peoples of the world is to take to the field against this reactionary war, from both sides, in the Middle East and against its architects, and to form a united front in defense of the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom, equality, and well-being, and against US and Israeli militarism.

The killing of Ali Khamenei, along with a number of senior IRGC figures and the leadership apparatus, is an exceptional development in the current trajectory of #Iran. It is a decisive blow to the heart of the repressive machine and to the backbone of the Islamic Republic. For millions of people in Iran, the death of a man who for decades symbolized massacre, suppression, poverty, militarism, and rule through blood has sparked a moment of liberation, a mix of long-contained anger and explosive relief.
The presence of people in the streets and the broader social reaction reveal the depth of hatred that years of criminality and massacres have accumulated within society. This is not joy in war. It is not joy in bombings or the killing of children. It is not joy in foreign intervention. It is the grim relief of seeing cracks appear in a monster that only two months ago, in Dey, plunged the country into blood, shooting and crushing tens of thousands and turning society into an ocean of pain and anger. The people breathing today are the same people who yesterday were beaten, shot, and thrown into prisons. Yet the reality must be clearly stated: this blow to the top of the state occurred within a war launched from above and outside the popular will. A war that threatens lives, turns cities into death zones, and seeks to paralyze society through fear and ruin.
The United States and Israel played a direct role through their military attacks and must be condemned unconditionally. No “rescue” narrative and no “defensive” framing can recycle the killing of civilians. At the same time, it must be clearly said: the Islamic Republic and the IRGC are not victims of this war; they are among its main architects. A state that for years used society as a shield for its military and nuclear projects now pays the price of those policies through internal collapse. Khamenei’s death does not mean the crisis is over, but it demonstrates unequivocally that this system can no longer reproduce its previous authority. A structure whose leader has been removed, which is now at war, and which faces a society saturated with anger and hatred has entered a phase of irreversible instability.
We must also be careful of a crucial fact: a rupture at the top does not automatically mean the popular will is realized. It is precisely in moments like this that projects programmed to contain society—”controlled transition,” reshuffling of elites, and promotion of top-down alternatives aimed at hijacking the revolution and taking the direction of events out of the hands of the people—are activated. Backroom deals, reproducing the same structure with a new face, or imposing client governments under the slogans of “stability” and “transition” are all attempts to neutralize revolutionary momentum and block direct popular power. These scenarios do not represent the end of the Islamic Republic, but they represent the continuation of the same repressive order in a new form.
The only force capable of blocking this outcome is an independent, national, bottom-up organization. In a moment like this, the central question is not simply “opposition to the war.” The real question is whether society can consciously use the opening created by the rupture at the top to advance the revolutionary overthrow. War serves to frighten society and suspend the #revolution; the people’s response must be to rebuild and organize their own social power right in the midst of this crisis. Workers, wage earners, youth, women, and all social forces must understand a fundamental truth: no foreign power can deliver freedom. The only force that can definitively bring down this system is an organized society. Joining existing social organizations, strengthening independent labor organizations, building councils, local committees, and mutual aid networks is not a “choice” today; it is an urgent necessity, both to protect human lives in conditions of war and to take collective control of the future of society. The Islamic Republic is wounded and unstable. This is not a time for spectators or hesitation; it is a time for action. The real end of this war will not pass through agreements between States, but through the revolutionary overthrow of an order that has transformed life itself into a field of death.
We call on people all over the world, on labor movements, and on freedom-loving forces to stand on the side of the Iranian people, not with the States and the war machines. True solidarity means supporting the people’s right to overthrow the Islamic Republic and build a human, free, and equal order. The struggle has entered a new phase. Repression has collapsed, fear is shaken, and the possibility of advancing has opened. A society that has paid so much in blood has the right—and the duty—to build its own future.

The War of the Two Capitalist Blocs and the War of the Working Class
Once again, the Cold War between the two reactionary capitalist blocs has turned into a war of bombs and missiles. This time, as in the Twelve-Day War, the lives, bodies, and livelihoods of workers and other exploited classes have been put at stake. Regardless of how many officials of the oligarchic capitalist regime are killed besides Khamenei, what scenarios imperialism has in mind for Iran, or what combination of the regime and the capitalist apparatus of repression will continue to be involved in the country’s affairs after the ceasefire, even before the war appeared in the sky with missiles and bombs, it was already visible on the empty tables of workers and exploited classes.
War indeed means high prices, unemployment, insecurity, destruction of infrastructure, and destruction of the future of generations. In every military conflict, it is common people who are the victims, while governments and capital owners benefit. And it is precisely for this reason that we declare our firm opposition to the war started between the “Islamic Republic of Iran” and the US-Israeli imperialist bloc. This war is conducted for reactionary and capitalist interests and has nothing to do with workers and exploited laborers.
We declare that no foreign power—neither US imperialism, nor Israel, nor any other power—has any concerns other than its own economic and geopolitical interests. Historical experience has shown that imperialist intervention has brought neither freedom nor prosperity; it has instead imposed destruction, instability, and new forms of exploitation.
At the same time, our opposition to the war and the imperialist front does not mean supporting the oligarchic capitalist regime. The Islamic Republic has demonstrated, over its decades of rule, to be the enemy of workers, women, national minorities, youth, and all the exploited and oppressed masses. The repression of union demands, the imprisonment of labor activists, the spread of poverty and class inequalities, and the limitation of the most basic social and political freedoms constitute the clear record of this government. This political structure has produced nothing but crisis, corruption, and pressure on the masses.
Less than two months ago, the whole world witnessed the mass slaughter of tens of thousands of young Iranians in the streets of cities across Iran. Therefore, we believe that the Iranian people must not choose between internal tyranny and foreign intervention. Both paths will make the lives of the exploited masses miserable.
The real alternative is the formation of a third independent and progressive bloc: a front arising from workers’ councils, national minority councils, independent women’s organizations, students, and all oppressed strata. Only through conscious and nationwide organization of the struggling masses can we simultaneously oppose the belligerence of the two blocs: foreign capitalism and internal repression.
From our point of view, the time has come for the international allies of workers and the exploited to come to the aid of their class brothers and sisters in Iran and clarify their own position in the struggle of the Iranian proletariat against all internal and external counter-revolutionary forces. The revolutionary or counter-revolutionary character of governments is not determined by their verbal statements against imperialism, but by their real function in the cycle of global capitalist relations and by their class orientation. The Islamic Republic has demonstrated, over nearly half a century of rule, that it has always acted against the interests of the popular masses, and all its apparent anti-imperialist struggles were actually an attempt to obtain a larger share in competitions and conflicts within the counter-revolutionary camp.
We believe that the emancipation of the working class can be realized only by the working class itself. And only the revolutionary proletariat is the standard-bearer of the emancipation of all exploited and oppressed classes. Once this war between the two reactionary capitalist blocs ends, the war of both against workers and the exploited will continue and intensify. And the only way to win economic, social, and political rights is to focus on the formation and coordination of clandestine cells of the class struggle of workers and the exploited.
In Iran, regardless of which capitalist regime prevails, the only way to obtain the most basic democratic rights can be realized only after the socialist revolution led by the proletariat. Forward toward building the clandestine cells of the socialist vanguard workers! Forward toward building the clandestine cells of the anti-capitalist masses!

The ongoing war has entered a new phase. The blitzkrieg scenario that the United States and Israel relied on did not produce the hoped-for result. Their calculation was clear: by assassinating the political leadership and military commanders of the Islamic Republic and destroying its missile infrastructure, the regime’s war machine would be paralyzed in the very first hours, paving the way for a rapid reversal of the balance of power. But this plan failed. Neither the power structure of the criminal Islamic regime collapsed quickly under the impact of political assassinations, nor were its missile capabilities immediately eliminated. The counter-attacks and the wide range of targets hit throughout the region demonstrate that the project of a “short and precise war” has reached a dead end.
This stalemate reveals a simple truth: regime change in a country like Iran is impossible without a ground force. Yet, after the experiences in Iraq and Afghanistan, the United States is not in a position to commit its own army to a large-scale ground war. It is precisely at this point that the well-known imperialist strategy re-emerges: the creation of proxy troops and the transfer of the war inside Iran itself.
In this context, certain segments of the opposition in exile or ethnic armed groups come into play as potential tools. Although the relative success of the United States, Israel, and regional powers in promoting the monarchist current as a political alternative has played a significant role in the power game, the “Pahlavi alternative,” despite its utility in such a game, has no real applicability in current concrete conditions. For this reason, the United States and Israel are trying to assemble a proxy ground force by mobilizing ethnic and tribal parties and other organizations that possess the reactionary and organizational capacity to act as infantry and contribute to the transfer of the regional crisis into Iran itself.
This is the same pattern we have already observed in Iraq, Libya, and Syria: when direct war does not produce a rapid victory, the target country turns into a battlefield for rival proxy groups, militias, and projects of destabilization and partition. It is clear that if ethnic nationalist parties and other organized opposition forces agree to become cannon fodder for the great powers, the situation will inevitably lead to civil war. For imperialist powers, this scenario has a clear goal: to pull themselves out of the quagmire of direct war and transfer that quagmire into the country itself.
Yet this process is not a simple military tactic; it is part of a deeper crisis overwhelming the global capitalist order. The energy crisis, geopolitical rivalry, and the historical crisis in the reproduction of capital are pushing the great powers toward regional wars and conflicts. In such conditions, countries like Iran become testing grounds for these rivalries, while their peoples pay the highest price for this power struggle.
The working class and Iranian workers must not fall into this trap. Neither the Islamic regime—which has ruled society through repression and religious despotism—represents the people, nor do the imperialist projects that seek to shape the country’s future from the outside. Transforming Iran into a battlefield for a proxy war would mean the destruction of social infrastructure, the worsening of poverty, and the dragging of society into the abyss of civil war.
For this reason, the task of progressive forces and the labor movement is clear: to expose the proxy war project and resist it. The workers and peoples of the region have no interest in this war. They are faced with a choice between two forms of reaction: internal reaction and imperialist reaction.
The only true answer to this situation lies in the emergence of a pacifist and internationalist movement, a movement that serves neither authoritarian states nor imperialist powers. Only through the independent organization of the working class and transnational solidarity among workers and laborers in the region can the projects of war, partition, and destabilization be countered.
Imperialist war and proxy war are two sides of the same coin. Only a force that transcends national boundaries and the power games of states can face them: proletarian internationalism and organized pacifist resistance.

Greetings and wishes to all comrades and workers throughout Iran,
America and Israel have finally started the war. It is absolutely clear that this war was started by American capitalists and politicians and the Islamic Republic, but we, the workers and the people who work hard, are paying the price. As always, we are caught between the blades of a pair of scissors. On one side, America and Israel bomb us; on the other, the Pasdaran and the Basij massacre us at work and our children in the streets.
You will all undoubtedly be aware that the oil regions of Jask and Tehran have been attacked by American and Israeli planes. Two days ago, several night-shift workers in a flour and starch factory in the Soldoz industrial park of Hyderabad were killed. Factories, oil depots, power plants, airports, roads, refineries, and even ordinary people’s houses are not safe from the bombings of these cursed ones. If we look around, we see that all infrastructure is being destroyed.
However, in a situation where American and Israeli fighters are bombing our homes and our lives from such a low altitude, these people have set up checkpoints in every alley and street corner, and have pointed the barrels of their heavy machine guns at ordinary people in alleys and markets, so they do nothing.
This is the story of our lives: we must endure the fear of bombings, resign ourselves to the empty tables and the hungry stomachs of our wives and children, tremble with fear in factories, refineries, and oil depots, and then endure these armed forces at every intersection.
Another news item is that, after the killing of Ali Khamenei, the Guardian Council has appointed his son, Mojtaba Khamenei, as his successor to continue the path traced by his father. We workers, in response, loudly declare from today that we do not accept this unknown “leader” for the working class and believe that the leader of the workers and hard-working people must be chosen by us and from among the workers themselves, not from above and through internal government conflicts.
The experience of these forty-seven years, and especially of these ten or twelve days of war, has shown that neither the internal government will respond to our requests nor will foreign intervention bring us any relief. As long as we do not have our own independent organization and as long as we do not act ourselves, even if this government were to resign and a new one with a new status were to come to power, nothing will change for us.
Just as capitalists and employers have parties and organizations to protect their interests, we too must have our clandestine cells and our vanguard party. We must prepare ourselves in every way for this chaotic situation.
Our stronghold is our own organization. We must start building our cells and form our own command and leadership center!
Our strongholds are our factories and our workplaces. Our goal is the liberation of workers and the rise to power of the working class and a workers’ government, and these goals cannot be achieved alone. We must work to achieve them, count on ourselves, and continue our activities within the workplaces.
We workers must not forget that tomorrow’s power will not be determined by parliament, the current government, the Leadership Council, Mojtaba Khamenei, or foreign forces. This power will be determined by workers’ councils and the command center of the factory labor leadership.
Every day, working in factories, we run the risk of bombing and death, without any defense or shelter protecting our lives. These conditions dictate that, whenever possible, we take control of our factory and that the defense and protection of our lives and the factory be in our hands. If these people have no ulterior motives and are truly honest, why don’t they arm the workers and the population?
Comrades, brothers, and friends,
We must not always be forced to choose between two very bad alternatives: internal repression and, even worse, foreign interference. There is always a third way, a third force composed of all of us, together with the most oppressed and hard-working layers of the country. Experience has shown that only a force of this type can lead society toward freedom, equality, and economic and political independence.
The way to salvation for Iran will be traced by militant and vanguard workers, based on the system of workers’ councils and respect for the rights of all ethnic groups and nationalities.
